From 8 to 14 June 2025, ASEI students participated in an enriching field trip across the Greater Bay Area, gaining firsthand exposure to China's leading innovation hubs. The week-long journey provided valuable insights into the region's thriving aerospace and technology sectors.
Students visited prominent institutions including Shenzhen Dongfanghong Haite Satellite Ltd., Guangzhou University's Geography & Remote Sensing Institute, and the National Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Science at Macau University of Science and Technology. The itinerary also featured technical visits to Zhuhai Orbital Micro Technology Co. and Zhuhai Space Center.
Through these site visits, students observed cutting-edge satellite technology development and gained practical understanding of aerospace applications. The trip successfully bridged classroom learning with real-world industry practice, offering students unparalleled networking opportunities and career inspiration.
The field trip concluded on 14 June with students returning to CUHK, having gained valuable perspective on future opportunities in the aerospace and earth informatics sectors.
